Pennine becomes a Microsoft Gold Partner

Microsoft has accredited Pennine with its highest technical expertise qualification under the global software giant’s Cloud Productivity Competencies programme.

The communications, data and networking specialist has been awarded Microsoft Gold Partner status under the scheme which acknowledges and rewards technical expertise in the application of Microsoft Office 365.

In order to achieve accreditation, Pennine was required to demonstrate a proven track record in Office 365, Skype for Business and Exchange deployments and secure customer endorsements of its expertise. In addition, engineers achieved the qualification of Microsoft Certified Solutions Experts which involved extensive training course and exams held as far afield as Sweden.

Designed to support partners deploying Microsoft Office 365 for enterprise customers, the Cloud Productivity Competencies programme recognises only those with “best of breed Office 365 deployment capabilities”.

Pennine’s managing director, Andrew Roberts, says achieving Microsoft Gold Partner status is a strategically significant milestone for the company.

“Office 365 and in particular Skype for Business are absolutely pivotal for us. Securing Gold accreditation from Microsoft is not only great recognition of our expertise in delivering Office 365 on-premise, cloud and hybrid solutions, but provides us with additional access to Microsoft’s extensive technical and support resources.”

Businesses will be able to see Pennine’s expertise first hand at IP Expo in Manchester where they will be demonstrating how Office 365 and Skype for Business can help organisations adopt modern ways of working and embrace digital transformation.
