My Pennine journey started in 1978 repairing radios. In 2003 I led the management buyout team and I am now Managing Director of Pennine. The business employs over 75 staff having expanded from its roots in two-way radio to offer extensive expertise in traditional and internet telephony, unified communications, wireless and data networks, mobiles as well as Cloud and IT Services.

We source all the products offered in Pennine’s diverse portfolio, from raising purchase orders, maintaining stock levels and organising shipments to our customers. Whether it’s a telephone headset, a long-term radio hire or a full-blown UC system, we take the same time and care to ensure everything is processed correctly.

Having joined Pennine in 1994 I’ve witnessed some significant changes in the two-way radio market, one being the introduction of digital radio. My team of skilled engineers now install radio systems complete with functionality for lone worker, man down, GPS tracking, task allocation, telemetry, alarm monitoring telephone interconnect … the days of two-way radio offering just Press To Talk (PTT) are most definitely long gone.

As Operations Manager I am responsible for Pennine’s CRM, Accounting and Billing platforms, as well as managing the sales support team who process Pennine’s orders. From a customer perspective it’s important that our customers receive invoices that clearly outline the products and services they take from us, whether it’s a system sale, two-way radio accessory or mobile phone connection.
